Description
The Ambrosian
VARSITY CAPTAINS
Nolan—Football Captain
Roger is one of the best all around athletes
ever turned out at St. Ambrose. In football,
basketball, and baseball, he showed remarkable skill and in addition possesses unusual
ability in diving and swimming. He is a good
clean sportsman, well liked by the students,
and should eventually make a good coach.
Last year he led the basketball and baseball
teams and during the present season he helped
with the basketball coaching.
Greene—Basketball Captain
"Babe", elected captain by a large margin,
played his second year on the team. He is a
guard of rare ability, plays a wonderful floor
game, and is very accurate on his shots. More
than one forward has made a poor showing
this year on account of Babe's air tight defense. In addition to his basketball record he
is also a football man of recognized ability,
having played guard with the Varsity for the
past two seasons.
Bouquot—Football Captain-elect
George, a flashy quarterback, was a strong
factor in the backfield this year. Wonderful
broken field running and unusual speed in
rounding the ends are his principal assets. He
played in top form against Campion and by a
thrilling run returned a punt ninety yards for
a touchdown. It is the general feeling that
Bouquot will make a great leader for a great
team next vear.
