for Higher Education
"That the federal government
should guarantee an equal opportunity for higher education to all
qualified high school graduates," was
the subject for the 1963-64 debate
season. After a good deal of research
and practice, the St. Ambrose College Debate Team entered the following: The Bradley Speech Tournament, the Iowa State Debate Tourney, and the Northwest Debate
Tourney.

is open to majors and minors. To
enlarge upon course work and to
provide an informal discussion situation, a varied program is offered.
Headline speakers for the 1963-64
year were: Fr. Ildefonso Cabrera, of
the diocese of Evarara, Ecuador; Mr.
Lowell Erickson, Midwest Regional
Director of the United States World
Federalists; Mr. Jacquard Rothschild,
a member of the National Advisory
Board of the United World Federalists; and Attorney Ralph Beal. At
other meetings historical movies and
student discussions were on the program.
