ST. AMBROSE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION The purposes and membership are stated as follows: Section I, Article II of the Association's Constitution, "The objects of this association are to create and foster good will and social relationships among the membership, and to further the interests of St. Ambrose College by all proper and appropriate means as determined by the Executive Committee."—Section I, Article III, "Any person who has attended St. Ambrose College or St. Ambrose Academy, or who has been duly elected to honorary membership shall be eligible for membership in this organization." Since this constitution was drawn up in 1949, the Alumni Association has become very active. The Alumni Living Endowment campaign in the last fourteen years has realized more than $200,000 in the future of St. Ambrose College. Contacts are maintained through the "Alumnus" and "Acorns and Oaks" as well as by Homecoming activities. Mr. Robert S. Motto, Alumni National President is shown congratulating the awardees at the 1963 Alumni Awards Luncheon. The recipients are: Rt. Rev. Msgr. William J. Collins, two awards, one for Service and one for Merit; Mr. Motto, Mrs. William H. Foster, receiving for her father, Mr. Walter F. Meiburg, the Honorary Alumnus Award, and Mr. G. LaVerne Flambo, the Honorary Alumnus Award. Jr. John R. Lewis was named Honorary National President of the Alumni Association for 1963-64 however, Mr. Lewis was unable to be present to receive his award.
