An active Parents' Council has added strength through increased understanding of the workings of the College. The Department directs the annual Living Endowment drives which include the Alumni Fund, Parents' Fund, and the Friends campaign. PLACEMENT LISTS OPPORTUNITIES The Bureau of Placement together with the faculty work as a team to achieve the policy of the College to answer questions: which career is best, how and where can the graduate find career employment, etc.? It is a matter of recorded performance that few 1963 graduates were without placement, that alumni members invite assistance and that hundreds of odd jobs and part-time jobs are found for in- school students. More than seventy- five companies in a fiscal year, offering a wide range of professional opportunities, included St. Ambrose College in their itinerant recruitment program. This type of service rendered by the College in this rapidly changing complex occupational world is a weight factor to the parent and to the prospective student in selecting St. Ambrose College. MR. MAX M. SHIFFMAN, Director of Bureau of Placement. Attended Temple University. At Ambrose College, 1963—. 23
