Description
Guide College Affairs ADVISER ON FINANCE This is a newly created position at St. Ambrose College, accepted by Col. C. J. Williams who brings to it a wealth of executive experience. He becomes the resource man whenever the President must don his "financial hat" from among the assortment assigned to that office. Other matters acted upon in this advisory office are those concerning special gifts, foundation contacts, budget formulations planning and analyzing, and general administrative duties as directed by the President of the College. DEANS AIM ATTENTION AT STUDENT PROBLEMS The well worn path to the Dean's door attests to the fact that when an Ambrosian needs a friend he knows where to go. During the class day the "May I be of help to you" greeting of Mrs. Spencer settles many knotty problems, some directly and others by appointment with Father Taylor or Mr. Glenn. In order to give more adequate assistance to students immediately, an associate dean was added to the staff in October. They, Father Tay- or, Mr. Glenn, and Mrs. Spencer aim to make studying, eating, recreating and living on the Campus in enjoyable but worthwhile ex- erience for every student. The Dean's cooperation is sought by many of the faculty and of the community. Identification with the dean is imperative for protection, mployment, or for advancement, He finds himself "in loco parentis." COLONEL CARROLL J. WILLIAMS, U.S.A.
