28 and disposed of St. Norbert's 54-51. The last
victory was more important for the Bees' self
esteem than for effect. In the final game of the
regular season the Bees tangled with Loras.
Though it would have no importance in either
of the two conferences as far as settling titles
was concerned, the Ambrosians wanted the
game ever so badly. For all but five minutes
it appeared as though they might have it too.
But the Duhawks chipped away at the Bees'
early advantage and finally came out on top
59-58.
The last chapter, and a sad one too, of
the strange season was written off when Parsons defeated the St. Ambrose team for the
third time, 73-67. Another downfall in the second half was the cause of the loss.
The St. Ambrose individual scoring leaders for the 1949-50 season are
as follows:
