Description
HOMECOMING
QUEEN
JOAN LANGLOIS
John Coffou and John Ringness completed
four years of active extra-curricular activities
by serving as co-chairmen for the Homecoming
Dance. Their first venture was to sign Hal Mcln-
tyre and his orchestra to play for the dance.
Hal responded by supplying some of the sweetest music ever produced in the Coliseum. The
xvCol" was resplendent in wonderful decorations, and over 250 couples relaxed in the
dreamy atmosphere which prevailed.
A galaxy of beautiful and highly colored
floats went on review in downtown Davenport
during Homecoming weekend. The queen, followed by her attendants, was followed in
the parade by the classiest arrangement of
floats ever assembled in a Homecoming parade. It was definitely fine weather for the
occasion, and sleek convertibles, tops down,
glistened in the autumn sun. Thousands of
Davenporters viewed the spectacle.
