Description
INTER-CLUB COUNCIL
OFFICERS
Tom Gannon President
Tom Walsh Vice-President
Tom Sherwin .... Secretary-Treasurer
The Inter-Club Council, ending its second
year of operation on the St. Ambrose campus,
is the coordinator of organizational activity
within the college. It is not the student, nor
the organization he represents, that is given
preference in the activities of this council, but
the student body as a whole.
Each active student organization is represented on the Inter-Club Council by two members, with each member having voting power.
From this group four men are elected to serve
on the student council. These men are instructed "to conform to the decisions of the
Inter-Club Council in their deliberations in the
Student Council."
The action of this group during the school
year has helped to coordinate activities among
the various organizations on our campus. One
of the main functions of the club each year is
the organization and administering of the annual Field Day. The Inter-Club Council does the
basic planning, raises funds, appoints various
committees, and supplies publicity for the field
day celebration. The raffle and dance, which
follow field day activities, are also under
the direction of the Inter-Club Council.
Although a comparatively new club on
campus, the Inter-Club Council has become
one of the leading groups in the promotion of
student affairs.
Row One: Keigher, Beiser, Lanzilotti, Walsh, Gannon, Sherwin, Reidy, Lauber.
Row Two: Kurtz, Mottet, McAllister, Morris, Harnett, Lanaghan, Walton.
