Young Republicans

Organized with the purpose of promoting political activity at St. Ambrose in general, and, in
particular, promoting the ideals and programs
of the Republican Party, the St. Ambrose Young
Republican Club met the first Thursday of each
month to discuss plans and special events, and
to decide on speakers for campus presentations.
Under general officers: Dick Watkins, President;
and Chuck Bubany, Secretary-Treasurer, the
highlight of the 1961-62 school year was the
state convention of the Iowa Young Republicans which was held in Davenport the weekend
of April 6-7.
