1962 Yearbook
Description
In Dedication
As the active life of the college student progresses from day to day, he is,
for the most part, unaware of the multiplicity of responsibilities of those involved in the administrative capacities of his college. Certainly the most responsible position is that of the College President.
Monsignor Collins, occupying this office for the past six years, has accomplished goals that once seemed to be attainable only in the distant future.
Achieved with devotion and humility, these significant improvements have
at times been taken for granted, but they have permeated the college community for the betterment of faculty and student.
Monsignor Collins' years at St. Ambrose, as teacher and President, have
been highlighted by an unselfish desire to meet the immediate and future
needs of his students, the most current of which comes to light in the form
of a "dreams come true"—East Hall, refurbishing of Davis, and the College
Center.
With affection and sincerity, the 1962 OAKS is dedicated to Monsignor
Collins.
