The purpose of this study, prepared by the Soil Conservation Service, was to determine the needs for establishing of terracing as an erosion control measure in Des Moines County in order to help establish an orderly approach to planning and resource development. This inventory and evaluation was requested by the Soil Conservation District Commissioners of Des Moines County, Iowa.
