Description

This photo shows a functioning wooden "coffin-type" weir in a feeder creek under a gravel road at 200 feet before emptying into the Flint River above critical bank erosion site. This area is on Robert Yeager's property. A weir is a low dam that is built across a river to raise the water level, divert the water, or control its flow. a series of traps or enclosures placed in a stream to catch fish.
