This is a collection of photographs and documents from the Cherokee County Soil and Water Conservation District. It is a governmental unit of the State of Iowa which works closely with both the state and federal conservation agencies to create a more sustainable land environment for the region.
This collection shows the activities of local farmers developing soil and water conservation techniques dating back to its founding year in 1944.
