Farmers State Bank located on the corner of Main Street and Niagra Street in Garnavillo, Iowa on Lot 8, Block 18. The Farmers State Bank was in existence from May 1915 to July 1933. In 1933 the bank building was sold to Garnavillo Savings Bank.

The Garnavillo Savings Bank in 1906 on the west side of Main street in Garnavillo, Iowa. There are three unidentified people in the photo. Two people on the front entrance and one person in the upstairs window. This building was the Garnavillo Savings Bank form 1906 - 1933. The building was later known as the Kaiser Building. This building is located on Block 12, Lots 2,3,6 & 9.

An account of the resource
Garnavillo Savings Bank in 1933. Photo was taken looking North on Main Street and Niagra Street in Garnavillo on block 18, lot 8.. This building was formerly the site of the Farmer's State Bank before it went out of business during the Great Depression. Note the clock hanging on the bank and the city water tower in the background. The clock originally was on the 1906 building and was moved in 1933 when the bank moved to the building in this picture.
