The 1962 annual meeting for Cass County Soil and Water Conservation District's main speaker was Dutch Sylvester (pictured). The meeting was held at the Atlantic Methodist Church with 190 in attendance.
Earth fill dam washed out caused by muskrat dens and spring and fall rains in Plano, Iowa. This structure was repaired under the Emergency Construction Program.
