Compiled in this collection are over 3,400 photographs taken by the University News Services documenting the event on the University of Iowa campus and in the Iowa City/Coralville area. Also included are two dozen oral history interviews, recorded by the UI Anthropology Department and by StoryCorps in collaboration with the UI Libraries, that capture the experiences of eastern Iowans affected by the flood.
