state tournament action, and
although they placed a disappointing fifth, they had a
victorious season over all.

Senior Phil Doherty, a guard
for the St. Ambrose basketball
squad, was named "Player of the
Weed" by the National Assoc. of
Inter-collegiate Athletics. Doherty is the first St. Ambrose
