Baylor leads Missouri, Drake, and other schools at the first handoff of the 1962 Mile Relay. The University of Missouri team, made up of David Stormer, Bill Rawson, Greg Pelster and Jim Baker won the event with a time of 3:11.6.
Kansas' Ted Riesinger hands off to Bill Dotson in the Four-Mile Relay. Kansas won the event with a time of 16:57.0. Team members were Mike Fulghum, Bill Thornton, Riesinger and Dotson.
Steve Scott wins the 800-Meter Run with a time of 1:46.79. Other runners are: Evans White (in green), Randy Wilson (Athletic Attic), Peter Lemashon (orange shorts) and Mike Boit (behind Lemashon).
Charles J. Capozzoli ran the anchor leg in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 4:17. Georgetown won that event with a time of 10:06. Capozzoli also ran in the Four-Mile Relay, which Georgetown won with a time of 17:20.8.
Paul Morrison, a longtime fixture with Drake University's Athletic Department at the 1969 Drake Relays. Mr. Morrison graduated from Drake University in 1939.
