The first Baroque concert in the library is held in the upper rotunda lobby outside the Periodical Room, Dec. 7, 1973. Performers in formal dress play instruments including a bassoon, a cello, and a harpsichord.
Students are studying in the south end of the Main Reading Room (currently called the Periodical Room) in the library. Some of the women have hats and coats on. Two library staff members are working at the desk.
