There's no telling how far-reaching the effects of this war are going to be.
There's one redeeming feature about business depression. (Of course the deep gloom of stock speculators is hard indeed to bear, and the suffering of our merchant princes is tough though temporary, and the farmer has suffered more and longer than anybody--- but thank heaven the sale of those modernistic paintings has dropped something awful!
