Description

Gayle Hopkins of University of Arizona won the 1964 broad jump with distance of 26:2. The distance was a record and broke Jesse Owens' record that stood for 29 years. Hopkins also won the triple jump in 1964, and was one of only 25 athletes to win two events in same year.
